Having reached the finals and toured with The X Factor in 2018, Bella Penfold is no stranger to the limelight. Now, in 2021, after a year on hold due to the pandemic, Bella is back and ready to debut her first single under Marylebone Records in style.
Moving from native Kent to Manchester during a lockdown respite, Bella put the extra time to good use, focussing on establishing her sound and setting the stage for a career beyond the reality TV show.
In early 2021, Bella dropped Crocodile Tears, a stunning RnB track about heartache, which caught the attention of her new record label Marylebone Records.
Having battled depression and her relationship with food, Bella is a champion of learning to love yourself beyond the filters of social media sites, of finding your own style and of protecting your mental health.
Bella’s debut single Pretty is dark and sassy, powerful and bassy. 808’s lead the track through cold, uncompromising lyrics with ever-changing rhythms and flow. Known for belting vocals, Bella also shows off her rap skills proving she is a top player in the Manchester music scene.
Bella said ‘Pretty was all about making me feel good. I wanted to show people that. I hope people of all ages, genders, ethnicities, religion and sexual orientation listen to this track and feel like that baddest b**** ever. This is a song about making everyone feel pretty.’
With a heavy bass that drives the track, Pretty is the perfect tune to find the loudest, biggest speakers you can to make the most of this head-nodder of a song.
With an empowering and sassy music video showcasing feminine power and sexuality, the video follows Bella and crew getting ready to crash a dinner party and cause chaos at a ‘day at the races’.
