Tipped as one of the UK’s hottest talents, 22-year-old pop musician Dylan has just shared the incredible brand-new single “Girl of Your Dreams”.
The Suffolk born singer-songwriter has marked another massive milestone in her career, after touring and opening stadiums alongside Ed Sheeran, who share the same management, Dylan’s new tune has amassed almost a million streams in the week following her release.
Since releasing her first song ‘Sour Milk’ in 2019, Dylan has received an influx of support from fans, particularly across TikTok. Before the release of ‘Girl of Your Dreams’, a clip of the song went viral on the social media platform, amassing millions of views in no less than a day. The song then later premiered on Jack Saunders ‘BBC 1 Radio Future Artists’.
During an interview, Dylan speaks about how her new single was written to be ‘simple and straight to the point’. She speaks about her frustration towards a ‘someone’ who had little to no interest in her, and although they had done nothing wrong, it caused her feelings of anger.
Dylan says, “instead of writing a screw you song I wrote a want me song!” However, despite the anger and frustration, the song ‘Girl of Your Dreams’ creates a free-spirited energy, the perfect vibe for the festival season, spinning her anger into the best feel-good summer anthem of 2022. The future for Dylan is looking promising, as she looks forward to a whole summer of performances and collaborations. Her confidence is growing, she looks determined to follow her ambitions, and ready to take on what’s next in her exciting career.
