“There is so much energy, deliberation, conflict, longing, love, war and peace wrapped up into this project it’s actually mad”
London based, 26-year-old psychedelic songstress Greentea Peng teases fans with another new head-nodding single from her upcoming debut album ‘Man Made’, due to release Friday June 04th.
‘Dingaling’ the latest track, released May 14th, follows a string of exciting releases including; ‘Nah It Ain’t The Same’ and ‘Kali V2’ all to be featured on ‘Man Made’; produced by long-time producer Earbuds and The Seng Seng Family.
There is so much energy, deliberation, conflict, longing, love, war and peace wrapped up into this project it’s actually mad. An extremely personal experience, a gift of ULTRA, natural vibration for the collective (not the culture) …A journey from start to finish, this is my Labyrinth, one way in one way out”, Greentea Peng wrote of Man Made on Instagram last month.
Recorded in 432hrz, the intoxicating new single gives of all around good vibes and radiates the positive and healing energy Peng is known for, with uplifting frequencies, serenely atmospheric beats and vocals that make the soul dance.
‘Dingaling’ both groovy and punchy at once delivers a slinky groove completed by Peng’s raspy and sultry vocals that make you want to break out and dance. The single is coupled with a music video which follow’s Wells around London as she visits Kilburn Market, rides along the Thames and appears in a carnival setting all while grooving and dancing to the addictive beat of ‘Dingaling’.
The rhythmic track is sampled from ‘African Queen’ by 2Face and gives a nod to rapper Blak Twang, and the influence of the grime centred Channel U, it seems Greentea can do no wrong.
You are my African queen
The girl of my dreams
You take me where I’ve never been
You make my heart go ding-a-ling-a
Ding-a-ling-a-ling…, Peng sings in the chorus.
