‘Sticky Fingers have confirmed their reputation as artists that constantly evolve, and now sound like a band that have made peace with their past, and promises to their future’
Sydney based melody makers Sticky Fingers triumphantly return with their latest single We Can Make the World Glow – their first major release since 2019s Yours To Keep.
Globally renowned for their reggae, rock and hip hop vibes, the band have been surfing the crest of Australian guitar music for ten years – embarking on an arena tour in 2019 around Australia. What sets the band apart from their contemporaries however, is that Sticky Fingers have done this all while remaining independent, and after falling out and making up with Aussie radio station Triple J, the band have developed a loyal and fierce relationship with fans around the world.
We Can Make the World Glow is another exciting chapter in their defiant career. With sounds that echo their previous work of Caress Your Soul, with a fresh, matured approach, fans are left confident this is a new chapter in the career of a band noted for their controversies as much as their music.
With melodic harmonies, twinkling guitar and a loose, head-rolling drumming pattern, the Westway boys have delivered yet another banger.
‘Why do we hold back when we’re holding onto loved ones, couldn’t figure out this maze I was in,’ sings frontman Dylan Frost, as the instrumental dies down around the vocals, leaving the listener with the impression that they are floating with the lead man’s contemplations.
With We Can Make the World Glow, Sticky Fingers have confirmed their reputation as artists that constantly evolve, and now sound like a band that have made peace with their past, and promises to their future.
