Tyreezy ft August.III – Richie Rich

Tyreezy’s multi-hyphenate accomplishments signify he is creating his own identity through relentless talent, undeniable flow, and his infectious on-stage energy…

Tyreezy’s career in the music industry is nothing short of a whirlwind. Manchester born and bred, Tyreezy is part of the growing wave of UK urban artists putting 0161 on the map. Tyreezy’s first body of work, ‘Vacation’, gained over 1.5 million streams after premiering on GRM daily in 2017.

Ty was further skyrocketed into the mainstream after his 2018 single, ‘Oh Nah’, first featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist. 1.4 million streams later, Tyreezy had gained an established fan base left eagerly wanting more from the Manchester musician.

After spending much of his pre-pandemic time touring with Geko, Tyreezy inevitably garnered heavy interest from major record labels, subsequently signing a short-term deal with Universal Music Group, releasing the 2019 single ‘On My Way’, amassing over 1.1 million streams on Spotify and YouTube.

Manchester’s very own then hit the mainstream charts in late 2019, with a feature on Aitch’s ‘Already’,  reaching #43 and clocking more than 1.3 million views on Youtube.

Fresh and melodic. Catchy and coherent. Tyreezy’s music never fails to get people dancin’, bringing an energy to live performances that is as infectious as his smile. It’s clear that Ty loves music, known for pulling influences from genres ranging from Afro-beat, Hip-Hop, & RnB, whilst always having an eye for embracing the catchiness of pop, yet soaked in Manchester drip.

Not letting lockdown slow his initial momentum, the undeterred ‘Henny Boi’ focused his energies on the experimental flourishes that make his music so distinctly his own. Working alongside Grammy-nominated producer Dave Pemberton, Ty focuses on refining the intricacies of his sound whilst establishing a vibe uniquely his own.

Tyreezy’s most recent project is in the form of a collaborative single – Richie Rich, featuring fellow rapper and producer August.III. Now beginning to return to live shows, Ty and August.III recently debuted the crowd favourite Richie Rich at the famous 186 venue situated in the heart of Manchester.

Richie Rich is released on 15th October, 2021, under new label Marylebone Records. Having already laid the foundations, Tyreezy is gearing up for what will undoubtably be an exciting 2022, but if you can’t wait until then, you can catch him performing live at BassJam and Victoria Warehouse, later this month. (23rd Oct)

A solid start to his already flourishing music career, his multi-hyphenate accomplishments signify he is creating his own identity through relentless talent, undeniable flow, and his infectious on-stage energy…
